CEO & Founder - Cornelius Stover

Cornelius - originally from Ramstein, Germany grew up in eastern North Carolina and moved to Bradenton-Sarasota, Florida to experience a chapter of life.

Before beginning his career in the financial service industry, Cornelius started his professional career as an organic analytical chemist before spending a few years teaching as a high-school science teacher as well as coaching high-school soccer/football.

After spending years having to work multiple jobs to make ends meet and live through financial stress, Cornelius walked through a door-of-opportunity to enter the financial service industry at Edward Jones, a Fortune 500 company and one the nations largest full service-investment firms (highest ranking firm according to J.D. Power 2021 U.S. Full-Service Investor Satisfaction). Cornelius came to learn the industry, common obstacles for investors and proven solutions to help families reach their financial goals. He grew his practice partnering with teachers, firefighters, business owners and families who had the goals and commitment but not the time to learn how to invest appropriately. Through time Cornelius grew dissatisfied with the wide gap of value that was delivered as well as the near absences of focus put on investing and working with a financial advisor early rather than waiting until a few years from “retirement” (here at Copilot we say work-optional living) to make sure families were on track for their financial milestones.

Copilot Financial was founded on the values of partnership, transparency, life long growth and a commitment to the highest-standard of ethics. Where minimum requirements and commissions naturally create conflicts-of-interest and hesitation, Copilot was designed to grow with our clients by aligning every conversation, recommendation, decision and action to be rooted in our clients best interest by being a fiduciary to our clients and prospective clients.
